Heidi believes that being a therapist is what she was born to do. When she was seventeen, she saw a therapist and it was such a positive experience that she made a lifelong decision to become a counselor.  She wanted to give back to others what she received. After graduating college, Heidi worked with young children and adolescents in a locked psychiatric hospital. She was quickly promoted to Clinical Team Leader, supervising the Social Service Department for the next ten years. Tragedy struck when Heidi’s future husband died unexpectedly. She attended grief therapy and learned a lot about the different stages of grief and how someone can get stuck in the process. She came out as a stronger counselor. She states that she “loves counseling and does the best therapy she can.”
